Description:


6K Additive is actively recruiting a Production Planning/Materials Manager for a growing and fast paced organization. The Production Planning Manager will be a key contributor to the planning operation and responsible for the day-to-day activity of the scheduling and inventory management activities. This will include scheduling and coordinating production, releasing production orders, inventory management, ERP master data management ownership and BOM and Router maintenance.


Responsibilities:


  • Develop production plans based on capacity, BOM and material readiness to meet customer requirements
  • Publish master production schedules to support customer service and inventory turn goals
  • Determine production requirements based on multiple plant capacities and production specifications
  • Create and release production orders to the shop floor
  • Collaborate with commercial to identify and resolve delivery concerns
  • Monitor inventories of raw material, WIP, and finished goods to minimize cost and achieve inventory goals
  • Coordinate with procurement team to identify raw material needs/gaps
  • Owner of ERP Master Data (Items, BOM’s, Routing)
  • Maintain data integrity of ERP planning parameters
  • Key contributor in ERP implementation team
  • Future team leader of production scheduler and coordinators
  • Creation of standard work and driver of process improvement as it pertains to scheduling and inventory management
  • Maintain documents & records needed to properly account and reconcile the movement of material
  • Perform all work in a safe and clean manner - maintain a safe workplace, free of clutter and hazards
  • Report safety hazards, unsafe working conditions or housecleaning issues to Supervisor, Manager, safety committee member or any management team member
  • Support root cause & corrective action solutions to safety incidents


Skills & Experience :


  • Familiarity with quality management system standards (ISO/AS)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Prior metals/metal powder experience is a plus
  • NetSuite/ERP experience a plus


Qualifications/Education:


  • 6-10 years of related supply chain/Master Scheduling, production, inventory management experience within a manufacturing environment
  • HS Diploma Minimum / Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or Logistics or equivalent experience
  • Must pass pre-employment drug/alcohol screening and background check
  • Dependable, punctual, and good attendance
  • Must have good organization skills and work with strong attention to detail
  • Positive attitude and the willingness to work as a member of the team
