Role Summary

6K Energy is looking for a Senior Account Manager preferably from within the lithium-ion battery, automotive or a parallel industry. The position can be remote and will report directly into the 6K Energy, Sr. Vice President of Business Development and Strategy. This individual will use established metrics to develop/execute sales and business development strategy to help the company move to the next level. The ideal candidate must have customer focused attitude, with the ability to translate technical product information into strong customer value propositions.

What will you do as an Account Manager?

  • Leverages existing relationships and industry knowledge base, to develop & build 6K Energy’s battery materials business within key strategic accounts.
  • Partner with the Sr. Vice President of Business Development and Strategy to develop and execute sales and business development strategies.
  • Partner with the sales staff to develop and service key strategic accounts that are assigned.
  • Meets sales financial objectives by forecasting requirements, preparing an annual budget, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective action plans.
  • Drive sales forecast accuracy and funnel growth.
  • Prepares sales presentations to explain 6K Energy products and capabilities.
  • Demonstrates products and value propositions to potential customers.
  • Analyze bid requests and specifications for major contracts/projects.
  • Ensure that region achieves sales at or above target levels.


What are the must-haves for the role?

  • Bachelor’s degree in science or engineering preferred.
  • Five (5) plus years of experience in a similar sales role, within battery, automotive or related industries.
  • Relevant, lithium-ion sales industry experience, contacts, and knowledge of the market.
  • Proven experience in a sales role within the industry, with a track record and reputation for success.
  • Customer focused attitude, with the ability to translate technical product information into strong customer value propositions.



What experience/skills will make you stand out from other candidates?

  • Previous sales position with lithium-ion battery experience
  • Solid knowledge of performance reporting and financial budgeting processes.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, time and project management skills required.
  • The ability to Close Business
  • Self-motivated and able to work with little direct supervision.
  • Strong computer skills with MS Office Suite and CRM software.
